Long time no post, updates galore!

The past month has been pretty bogged down with work, things going on in my personal life and personal projects that I haven’t been able to post much on here lately.

I’ve been working on finishing the Crusades piece and Molly May Die and the latter is 99% finished, waiting for approval and the former has just been completed and I’m stoked with how it turned out and so are they.

If you haven’t heard Crusades, you need to. They are a two piece group with a lot of balls. Killer drummer Johnny Collins and ASG front man and guitar player, Jason Shi. They are just a really dirty sounding old school rock band with a lot of soul. I did a shirt design and created a new logo for them that was one of the funnest projects I’ve done just because of how cool and laid back these guys are to work with.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With Molly May Die, I finished their initial design a month ago, but I hated it and changed it up and it looks sick. Should be posting it by the end of June.

I have one last script to finish to be done with the first two volumes of Gray Ghost. I also started working on a actual book that I’ve been wanting to do which is a satirical look at the political parties in America. I’m not doing EVERY single party, that’d be nuts, but I’m doing to main ones, the off the wall ones and the crazy ones. I’m also accompanying illustrations with it which I will post the sketches soon.

So, that’s why I haven’t posted in awhile.

Lots of ink and water.

Today I received the last issue I worked on for Morpheus Tales in the mail. Did work for them for a little bit over 6 months. Took me a little over 15 minutes to do. It’s rough, sketchy, creepy and I really dug it. I liked doing them, but it I had very little time over last few months I worked for them so I had to bow out around October. May do some again soon though.

Lions with blades!

I’ve been doing a long project for a client that has taken close to a year and hadn’t been able to post anything from it until now. Here is a rough for a piece I did for the inside cover for their album artwork. Just a quick digital painting.

Concept Sketches

Due to me trying to get commissions done and serious school work I’ve neglected this thing. I also haven’t put up the shop page to buy the prints yet. That will be done ASAP.

Here are some of the concept sketches I’ve done for various characters for my Gray Ghost comic. Haha, these things are really rough and may only make sense to me.

So tomorrow or Monday I will be putting the prints that I’ve been promising before Christmas up for sale. I’ve just been waiting for this scanner, haha. I would of had them up earlier this week but I’d been inundated with back work and emails that I had to get to.

The first one, a block print, was done after looking at some pictures from my girlfriend and I’s hiking trip in 2010 to the Hillsborough River State Park. Plus I love Cypress trees. The other, a screen print, was done after finding a lost book of mine, the ‘Book of the Law’ by Aleister Crowley. The swamp one I only have 15 left, the Crowley one I have maybe 3 or 4. I don’t know. The Crowley print I also did inkwash on each to get some touches that screen printing couldn’t get. Sketches.
